Today I pushed myself. I challenged my limits and succeeded in hiking 7 miles, with 25 pounds of weight on my back. At some points I felt that I couldn’t do it, but I did, and I am very proud of myself. I proved myself wrong and that feels so good! And now, I’m sitting here on some mossy rocks, my feet dangling above still water, with sore feet, and I LOVE it! I am so excited for the next few days and can’t wait to embark on new adventures.

Aside from the annoying mosquito bites, I’ve had an amazing time. It is so freeing to be out here in all this open space. Meeting new people is great, too. I am really enjoying myself and never want it to end.

Today we hiked to LeConte Point. It is 6,388 feet above sea level. This was a very hard hike, at some points my breath was gone along with my strength, but I pushed through and made it to the top. We even saw a bear behind a tree! The view is amazing and the air fresh. I can’t even believe how beautiful it is.
