Hiking for a lot of miles that I am not used to was pretty difficult than I thought. For a moment, I almost gave up and regretted coming to this trip. Once I made it to where we were going to stay, it was so beautiful. I’ve never seen this or seen something so beautiful in my life. As a senior I tend to stress a lot when it comes to due dates. So coming here away from everything was so relaxing…
Sleeping in a tent for the first time in the wilderness was not that bad. You don[‘t think about it, you’re so tired you just sleep. Cleaning the firest being left behind was something new for me. Or even using the restroom in the wilderness wasnot that bad. Doing new things for the first time that is not my usual thing was pretty amazing. Obviously I miss my family and all but I would live here. It sucks not having these resources near my house. Learning how to get rid of a fire is very interesting but actually doing it was so important and fun…so, thank you, Sharon! :)
Climbing up the mountain for the first time was so intense and difficult but it was worth it! Seeing Hetch Hetchy from all the way on top of the mountain was/is so beautiful. I’m excited to go home but it’s sad. Hopefully when I’m older, I get to do this. It was a challenge to get on top of the mountain but I did it. Many people think I’m weak but I made it.
Thank you!
