To me wilderness is a place mankind has not left a great amount of permanent damage. I had a good experience this week in the wilderness. I have never been so cold in my life like the first day of our backpacking trip brrrr…so cold but it was nice I got to know and feel a totally new experience. I climbed to the top of Clouds Rest. It was nice except for the wind that almost blew away my beanie and hat right off the edge, but the scenery was gorgeous and beautiful. I was amazed that I could have done that—I owe thanks to my group, I think without them I would not have made it.
