- Yosemite National Park: Snow Creek to North Dome to Yosemite Falls
Wilderness is...beauty and grace in open space; trying and conquering rather than saying "I can't"; dirty, but sometimes you have to make that sacrifice; unique, there is nothing else like seeing things you have only seen on t.v.; stardom, people say you only get 15 minutes of fame and this 15 minutes felt like mine; cold, even though you still get up the next day with a smile on your face; like Christmas, you never know what surprise the next morning will bring.
I have learned how to be a leader, maybe not the best but a leader. I got to know other people's true colors, but in a good way. Realizing that this was out here, cause I've never gone before, was the most amazing experience I've ever had. I think the thing that challenged me the most was the hygiene part because I've come to love water now more than ever. It's not just the water it's other things too. Being out here made me think that life is too short to take it for granted.
My favorite part was the climbing North Dome because when we did our solo site up there it put me in a whole new perspective to life. Also that whenever the day may come they want to tear down Yosemite I hope they would reconsider so that other groups of kids or young adults like us can enjoy it as well.
