Wilderness is...nature, trees, water, mountains, animals, sky, rocks.
I learned that black bears don't hurt people. I was challenged by climbing mountains because I'm afraid of heights. I loved the view of the top of the mountain. I liked the feeling of me overcoming my fears. I also liked knowing that camping and hiking isn't so bad. I am thankful for the mentors here because without them I wouldn't feel so safe. I am also thankful for the people who brought me on this trip and the people who came. I also learned that I can overcome my fears of heights if teamwork's being done by everyone in the group and everyone does their part in the group.
I was also very challenged knowing that there are animals outside and I still went along with sleeping outside. I had also loved hiking a lot of miles because even though it took a lot of work, work ends up to a better body and also if we didn't hike we wouldn't be able to see a beautiful view like the one we saw today.
