Wilderness is...using your hands and mind, then using cellphones and gagets; a life of adventure; full of memories; never needs changing; peace and quiet; long lasting.
This has been a life changing experience and these six days have changed me in so many different ways. Not only did it show me my limits but it made me believe in myself 100% more than I ever had. Don't' get me wrong, this trip was hard as hell, and it made me come out of my comfort zone, but honestly I'm glad I was chosen for this trip and I don't regret anything at all. I thank Richard Iglehart so much because I believe that everything happens for a reason. I think one of the best parts of this trip is the eight kids that came along. I learned so much from these kids on this trip that I couldn't have never learned in school... Their spirit, hearts, and encouragement made a five mile hike seem like one. This trip made us all learn about teamwork, goals, dreams, and always fight for what you want, and always strive for the top never for the bottom.
What I have learned from this trip is that I am so much better than what I make myself believe. How I now made me a second family.
