Monday
It is Monday night, the day/night before we leave for an amazing backpacking experience. This will be my first time backpacking. The topic for tonight is what my gears, hopes, and I think dreams for this week. My dream is to reconnect with both my surroundings and my friends. My hopes are that after this experience I can take ideas with me home. The last thing are my fears. My biggest fear about this trip is the high peaks we may encounter. I hope I overcome this soon though!
Tuesday
Today the theme was what is wilderness. I think a definition would be that it is a place where everything in it is wild. I think emotionally, though, it is a natural stress reliever. I think it is a place of natural beauty that says to come into it and enjoy everything around you.
Wednesday
Today our theme is to be part of the story of Yosemite. I think the way I was part of the story is when we used ALL natural resources to have an “afternoon at the spa.” Also when we all got in 1 group and did yoga on a rock in the lake. I think that we were relaxed and became part of the story by being completely natural land having a good time doing it.
