Yosemite is such a beautiful place and on this trip I hope to see many different kinds of animals. I also hope to learn everything that’s important about nature. It’s insane that for so many years of living in the sierras this is my first time actually coming out here. I have many goals and one of them is to visit Yosemite as much as possible. Another goal that I want to achieve is to someday hike a gnarly mountain. My fears are seeing some one get hurt, myself getting hurt, and seeing a mountain lion.
My definition of Wilderness is to have a place to be free. A place to escape from reality and just experience wonderful times. Wilderness is a place for peace and to leave it beautiful just like it was before so that other people can adventure in it.
My time here at Yosemite has been a great experience! It feels good to be a part of Yosemite’s story, leaving no trace is a perfect example. I am changing the wilderness in a good way. (LNT) When we all leave no trace it effects the wilderness. I also feel a part of Yosemite’s story because this has been our home for the last couple days.
My story has been amazing here in Yosemite! I have experienced so many different things, not only did I learn to survive in the wilderness, but to learn how to leave no trace. Hiking up to Tuolumne Peak was beautiful. I have never done something so amazing! Being on top of the peak was like nature telling me that I have to come back, to my backyard, and to spend more time here!
