As I realize I accomplished my goal of taking this hike and making it through with all my fellow teammates I cense how lucky I am and how special this trip was for me. I kind of realized my passion as well and want to take steps to get a job and work while doing something I love. I come up to Yosemite every chance I get and I absolutely love it and never knew that it could maybe be a future career for me and as I talked to Lornor and Glikin I was amazed at the opportunities I have to work up here and or come back up here. So my goal is to learn more about these apportunities and take action to take advantage of them so I can do something I love. The wilderness has always really inspired me because it is so mezmorizing and beautiful it takes my breath away whenever I am out here and it makes me almost want to break down and cry because of how beautiful it is and how I feel when I am out here. Another one of my goals is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail (the whole thing) when I get enough experience.
Wilderness is a place where I don’t have to worry about what people think of me, what I wear, what I say and just the overall hatred towards one another in modern day society. When ever I come to the wilderness I always see it as an escape from the prison of a city or town. In the city or prison you are tied down and there are not a lot of things to do but when you escape you feel enlightened and ree and as if anything is possible. Whenever I come here and spend time it always brings me to tears because I think about things like “wow this is all for me” or “this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.” I also think about all the people who have never experienced this or who have not been so lucky as me to be able to experience this zen place.
