Many Wilderness scholars, historians, and managers are concerned that our increasingly multi-cultural society might not value wilderness in the future since most of the people that visit and work in wild places are European-American. Please respond to this concern from your own perspective. .

I DON'T FEEL THAT this statement is true simply for two reasons: one being that we can't predict the future and two being that there are many reasons why people can't come to the parks and that doesn't mean they don't care. I don't think that the widespread multi-cultural people we are becoming has anything to do with the loss of interest.

The Wilderness That Surrounds Us There is so much beauty
present before us
But not seen by the
open eye

One imagines priceless
beauty
But does not take time to see
reality's beauty

If you took one step into
The wilderness
You would see what
really surrounds us.
