Hi, I'm from Woodlake...

Hi, I'm from Woodlake. This is the first day we get to see more of Yosemite. I was really excited for the rest of this week. I want things to go nice and easy because I want to go home like I came. But I want to have fun. It['s] hard to be here knowing that my family is far. I wanted to come because I knew it was going to be nice and exciting. So far it has been really good. I also wanted to meet new people and become more open because I know that I'm not the type of person that likes to talk a lot.

The type of person I am is really hard to describe but I'm going to do my best. I believe that the most important thing in my life is my family. They are the ones that I could always count on. I don't like to lie. I believe in saying the truth and nothing but the truth. Some times the truth hurts but you have to say it. I'm a quiet person. I don't like to talk much, but I'm not dumb. I know what's going on and what's happening to me and others that I'm surrounded by. I think I was chosen by my teacher because she thought that it would do me [good] going to come out and experience new things like this and UI have really good grades in her class. When I grow up I would like to be a nurse of a doctor because I know that they are able to help people when they need it the most in life. I want to make a difference in this world by saving someone's life.

Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias

We went to see the sequoia trees. It was so hard to get there. We went through so much, we walk through snow. Lots of people fell and it was very tiring. It was fun, we all work hard together. I'm not a person that likes to work with other people, because I know that I could do it by myself. But in this time, lots of people had to help me and it was great to know that there was people I could count on.

If I was to travel through time...

If I was to travel through time and be at the place they found the gold, I would be a Mexican woman that rule[d] all the Mexican people and I would be the one that named the mountain "La Casa del Diablo". I would get all the money and I would only give the people a little bit of it. I would live in the biggest house there was and would have my family which I would share my money with. I would have my wonderful mother, my sister, and my brother. I would have them all living really nice and comfortable.
