I want to get a better sense of the world I live in and I believe I can contribute to this experience is to spread the word to people about protecting the natural world. The sound of the river and wildlife (except spiders) is tranquil and somewhat gracious.

Getting ready to set out on trail!

Night 1: Not so bad. It's not too cold and I'm feeling better.

Wilderness is an amazing place that's hopefully not too crowded and it is a place where you can go to get away from it all and have a good time. My role in wilderness is enjoying it and doing my best to protect it. Wilderness is so valuable that you can't put a value on it. And it is hard to understand through describing it is something you have to truly experience.

Journal gaze

A little journal writing at dusk.

I have a better understanding and respect for the brilliance and power of nature and how cold it can get in the clouds and snow and rain. I can continue to build a relationship with nature by continually visiting it.
