- Yosemite National Park: Sunrise Lakes and Cloud's Rest
Hopes and Fears: This question has been brought up a few times today and yesterday. My main thing on the trip is freedom. At home I have many responsibilities and this trip is a way to get away from all of that. I also just wish to be closer to my friends and have a good time. I really want to see a bear because they are so interesting. I also can't wait to see the lakes and hopefully a waterfall as well.
I don’t really have any (fears) on this trip. If something happens it happens. I just can’t wait to see where this experience goes.
Challenge Hike: Today was our challenge hike up to Cloud’s Rest. I’m actually sitting up here on top of the rest. Cielo did amazing because she was strong and came up here even though she was scared of heights. She impressed me and I’m very proud. We opened our lunch package today and it contained drum roll gummy bears. They were so yummy! On the way up Mal, Cielo and I talked about books. I am watching this squirrel run around trying to get our food.
When we went to eat our fig bars they sang me happy birthday which was cool. The sights up here are amazing. I’m so glad to come up here for my birthday! Sweet Sixteen!
Rest Day: I got a chance to read “The Hobbit” which I have been doing aloud in the evenings. That’s always fun because many enjoy me doing so. I also got to get extra sleep.
