Sitting by the river,
I think:
Life is wind
Life is sound
Life is ground
Life is true
Life was found.
From this experience, I have learned that when two groups of people from different backgrounds join, so much can be done to help our tonantzin.
Today was a cold, chilly, and crisp day. I woke up with the readiness and eagerness to climb mountains. Writing this, I am sitting on top of a huge mountain side covered with the greenest of algae. Listening to the sounds of giving life that doesn't take like us humans. I think what would Yosemite be like today if not for the taking settlers that claim the “guardian” title. When in fact the Ahwahneechee have been guardians of these sacred mountains for so many years. They deserve the title of guardianship, not Clark.
