Today is the second day of our hike/camping and I can honestly say that the 6.5 mile hike up here was the most difficult physically/mentally thing that I have ever done. Towards the end of the hike I was already ready to just give up. I honestly did not think that I would make it up here. I would look at my sister and see how much she was hurting and it made me regret to have ever convinced her to come up here with me. She is a very strong person mentally and to see her cry sort of made me lose hope of ever coming up here again and enjoying it. And now that I'm sitting here and writing in my journal and watching the water flow down and enjoying this relaxing quietness, it makes me feel blessed. I am blessed to be able to say I hiked up 6.5 miles at Yosemite with my classmates. I am blessed to have been able to make amazing new friendships. I am blessed to experience this milestone with my sisters. I give thanks to God for keeping each and everyone of us safe on our trip up here. Yes, I've come up to Yosemite before but never to view it like this. This is what God gave us/provided for us. this nature is God. Out here, I feel so close to God. I feel so at peace with myself.
