Tuesday night I remember going to bed hot for some reason, I had all my gear, all my clothes. Woke up three times with my mind only thinking about the fact that I’m camping out in Little Yosemite Valley.

I wake up Thursday to the sound of Alex and Tecpatl throwing snowballs at our tent! I have never seen snow fall, and this time I was amazed. My shoes were running shoes, so that sucket, my feet were so cold and wet, but at least Elspie and John gave me some extra bags so my feet don’t get wet.

We played Capture the Flag, had a million snowball fights, pretty crazy because all the cold started to go away.

Javier Snowballs

Coming up the trail from Curry Village felt endless! It was all uphill, no one else to help carry my big, giant backpack. As we got to the Mist Trail where we had the best view of a waterfall, felt so refreshing but looked scary to look back down.

Javier Tree Hollow

When we first seen each other (Muir and Semillas), we were respectful and stuff, but didn’t talk. As the days went by, we got closer very quickly and started to cooperate and act as family helping each other, messing around, and playing all our games.
