March 31: First hike with NatureBridge and backpacking lesson.

April 1, 2014: Made it to the cabin and Merced Grove, got some white fir for tea tomorrow morning. Also had a snowball war, not fight, “war”… We have the choice to stay here and do activities or hike out to Little Nellie Falls. The choice is ours…

April 2, 2014: People disagreed on the tent trip, I really wanted to go on that one. Instead we went on an adventure to Buena Vista, that is outside of Yosemite. It’s in the Stanislaus Forest. It was still a fun hike, learned how to navigate and set out for the adventure. Also got some knowledge about old man’s beard [a fungus] and a bush with a lot of nectar in it. We can eat that plant. The view is great and the trip is amazing.

April 3, 2014: Today we learned how to build shelters if we are stranded. We also met Lissie [an NPS Wilderness Ranger]. We got to talk and get to know her. She is stayin’ the night and tonight is our last night here in the cabin and with NatureBridge. Learened where all the national park/government areas that don’t have one. I hope I am gaining the ability to live and give back kto the park and all of nature in any way I can. My experience on this trip was beautiful, amazing, and a life changing experience. I would love to come back with my family if only I can or even on my own. I love Yosemite and all of nature!!!
