What does wilderness mean to you?

To me, wilderness means feeling natural. Being natural. You don’t have to go to some hidden part of the world to experience wilderness. You can most likely find it in your own backyard…To dig a hole and find a worm; that worm is in its own element, in a way the worm is in wilderness. Its own wilderness. Being at peace. Back home the quiet would scare me a bit. Here at Yosemite the silence soothes me. Clears my head. Tells me nothing is as bad as it seems when you step out of your own element.

There are as many opportunities in the world as there are stars. Coming here, I see all the stars. And when I go back home in taking all the opportunities I didn’t see before.

Today my friend told me, “Some of the best music hasn’t been made yet”…it makes me think. Some of the best places haven’t been discovered yet.

3 specific strengths:

  • Positivity
  • Understanding of people’s feelings
  • Communication

How can these strengths help my dreams come true?

Staying positive will help me achieve anything I put my mind to because even if I fail, that won’t take my strive away and when you understand others it may be easier to understand yourself. By having good communication you really can achieve anything you dream of.

Ruth and Elspie really inspired me to be more connected with nature. They seem so happy. They make me happy. I’m really going to miss this place.
