This experience has changed my mind in so many ways. I have learned so much about myself. The first thing I realized is how much I appreciate and love my family. I learned that what I once considered my limit is just my body’s way of telling me to push harder. I learned to take the lead in certain situations. I learned how to trust relatively random strangers such as the kids from Crenshaw and our leaders Scott and Cynthia. I learned how important team work is especially in dire situations like setting up a tent in the middle of rainfall with snow coming next. I learned that what I once considered to be very important like television, electricity, heater, bed, or even toilets are all just luxuries.
