Wilderness is...

Quiet, peaceful, and very beautiful. Wilderness is also brutally cold and harsh. It's the cleanness everyone needs once in their life. Charming and different. It's a whole new way of life! Wilderness is also tiring and exhausting. Very different from the city. A change. White and fluffy. Rigorous and exhausting. Different in all aspects. A Big Change.

"Some of the greatest journeys in life are measured in inches and not in miles." -Unknown

I think that this journey has totally changed me. I came here expecting to learn a lot about science and nature. I was really happy, what I learned instead was far more better. I'm really a shy person, but this week I've really grown out of it. I learned that people are able to understand you in a whole new way. I knew I was going to meet new people, but I never thought I was going to become so close to them.

Step by step throughout this journey I have learned so much: I learned that while there are many obstacles in life to stop what you plan to do, but I also learned that for every obstacle there is a solution, and maybe a reason that has happened. You always have to try to find a solution to your problem. I think that maybe it was for the better of it.

I have also become stronger mentally. The first day I came, I looked at the mountain and thought, "I'll never be able to survive this." But I was able to do my best, and kept up with the rest of the group. It really made me feel great. During this trip, I was also able to stand some of my emotional ways. The first day, I broke down because I missed my mom a lot. But throughout the week all the people were really supportive and they helped me feel pretty happy. It was really awesome.

I have learned so much on this trip. I will definitely take these ideas home, and in a way make myself stronger in body, soul and spirit. This trip taught me so many things. I'll really miss everyone.
