How is your second time in the wilderness different? Do you feel different from last time? How have you changed in the last year?

From the second time to the first time there's only a couple of things different. This time is more comfortable than the first, because we only have to make only camp. And the first time we had to make camp to pack up camp 4 times last time. So this one is easier than the first time. I feel the same way as the last time. I'm just trying to have a good time. I could say that I've changed this time because I've been here before and this is my second. Time here and I sort of know what to do this time. Also I feel grateful of being here because not too many people get to come here especially coming from the city.

Tree of Life

Students were asked to describe their lives as a tree: what are the roots that make them strong? Where do their branches lead...what direction do they want to go in their lives? What kind of tree would they be? Where would their tree thrive best? What is the trunk that helps them stand tall?

Leaves: I would support my family Branches: the direction I would like to go is to be successful Trunk: What makes me strong; strength Roots: What holds me up is knowledge

I would best be growing in the mountains because I would be undisturbed. I would want to be a Douglas Fir because I like the way they look. What would make my tree unique is that it would be a big Douglas Fir tree.
