Wilderness is:

Since I've been in Yosemite my whole definition of wilderness has changed because I've never been to a place with so many waterfalls, where I am so close to the snow that I can touch it, where I had to hike six miles with a backpack that almost weighed more than me. This was a wonderful experience that I would never want to change, an experience that I would love for everyone to experience for themselves.

My definition of wilderness is a place where you can relax alone or with friends, where you can see many things that you can't see in the city or on t.v. It's a place where you need to go to get the whole experience. It's a place where you can see and hear everything like the sound of water falling down a waterfall or how the wind makes the trees sing. To tell you the truth this really isn't a definition of the word wilderness; words really can't express what wilderness really is you just have to go out into it to really get the feel of it, to get to know it to fully understand it, to get the full definition of the word "wilderness".
