Expectations vs. Reality of Wilderness

My experience was not what I expected. It was very wet and cold. The river and the mountains were beautiful; like when the clouds started to move through the mountains it was very pretty. We had to go through a lot but I think it brought us more close to one another. Even though we came here not knowing each other, we helped and took care of one another. The backpacking was very tiring and challenging but we pulled through and made it, because we were there for one another and that was very important. When I was out there, I thought everything about the outside world.
