Expectations vs. Reality of Wilderness

After we got back and got a little taste of the wilderness my expectations changed, I thought that it was gonna be like camping but it's more challenging because of the weather and the coldness. Also everytime I do go camping the place is protected and we have a lot of people. Hiking is probably not that bad but with some people first impressions do count, but if I do go hiking again I would like either to have my friends go or family. I feel really proud that I made it! And I'm glad that we didn't go back to camp. Because if we did then I would have felt really bad because I would have let everyone down so I just said "Alright Nettie, let's do this for your friends on this trip" so I put them first instead of myself. I have not met one person in my lifetime that go to camps so that makes me happy to know I get along with most people. But we all got stronger and became closer. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger!
