What is your expectation of wilderness?

My expectation of wilderness is very simple. I plan to be dazzled amazed and even doubtful sometimes by all the beauty. I know that we call it the "Great Outdoors" for a reason. And I know why they call it pristine wilderness. It's unbelievable what nature has done with itself. I expect nature to impress me to unimaginable heights.

What was the reality of wilderness?

The wilderness definitely lived up to my expectations. I was happy to be able to see the wild and peaceful side of Mother Nature. When you sit through a storm like the one we fourteen went through, it makes you realize how powerful our world is. While what we dealt with wasn't alive it seemed like it was. No wonder they call it the "Force of Nature"! I do not think that the wilderness has a true value (money) amount to it. It's such a great place that no money could buy it. We can't do enough to keep the wilderness safe either. We need to do everything within our power to keep this place protected, untouched and clean. The wilderness helps remind us of how small we really are. I believe we need to cherish it and honor it in all its glory.
