This week WildLink students were asked to imagine that all of the country's wilderness areas were in jeopardy of being developed; Congress is locked in a tie and the person who will cast the deciding vote is undecided. Each student has an exclusive audience with this person in order to sway his/her vote in the direction they believe is right. What would they say?

I believe that all wilderness should be safe and the reason being is that just imagine how ugly this world would be if we didn't have a source of wild things. For example the population of the cars and stuff that hurt the people would increase, which means that more people would get diseases and die. Why? Well because there is no clean air and besides the women that are pregnant they have more chances for their not born child to get some type of sickness and be bon with a defect. If there wasn't any forest or wilderness many people would lose their jobs as well as them losing the love they have towards the wild and not just that but animals would lose their home. Do you think that there would be more wild animals? Well there wouldn't because they don't have a home and they would get killed, if it wasn't for the wilderness they would be dead by now and I really don‘t want for my parents or anyone else to die because there isn't any clean air or for the people and animals to lose their job or home. The wilderness is something really pretty that has history and other people who aren't protecting it don't really know how beautiful the wild really is. The wilderness is peoples' home, peoples' jobs and peoples' love therefore I am so protecting the forest.
