First Impressions

what is wilderness? wilderness is a place away from the city and has a natural surrounding. it doesn't need help by a human to live freely.

are you in wilderness now?[yosemite valley]: no, i don't believe we're in wilderness because we're still surrounded by cars, electricity, and other technical things.

Goals and Expectations

A goal I could set for myself...[to] enjoy being away from all the stress of the city. I.E. work/schedule, school/homework. Something I expect from the trip [is] to enjoy myself, try and cultivate everything that I come across just to make it fun for me.

My Biggest Challenge

A challenge for me had to be the strenous hike up. The positive part about it is [that] it's a great physical challenge. It works at your thighs. etc/ I know when I go back home I [will] feel much better about myself.

I want to remember...

this week. I'd like to remember the people who went on this trip with me. I'd also like to remember Curry Village: the food, the hikes, the cold cabins. I want to remember the hike over to Hite's Cove, how long it took. I also want to remember the 'booger river' because we all [got across] the first time. Last year when we played it, it took more than a couple of tries. All the girl talk we shared, all the drama that was brought out here. Steven's crazy self, always wanting to explore. Man, I still can't believe that we're hiking back to the trailhead tomorrow. How fast did this week end. Tomorrow...yumm, FOOD. Home, "YES".
