Hi. My name is Jotham. I believe if there was not nature there would not be me. I am a person who loves to be outside or going to do new things. I have lived in a small town just north of Sacramento, [and also in] Oakland. Now I am currently living in Berkeley. I attend BHS and I am in a school inside of a school called Common Ground. I think this program has allowed me to do a lot of new things that I have never done before, such as traveling to new places. Common Ground has given me a chance that BHS would not have given me. Common Ground makes me feel like I am someone, but in the big school I am just 1 out of 4,000 students. Anyway, I am a really nice guy, once you get to know me. I love to be with my friends and family. I play lacrosse and basketball.

I think WildLink is a very good program and it is full of wonderful things. Just being here one day has changed my life around and I want to bring my family and friends here so they can have the effect that I've already had.

Letter to Self:

Dear Jotham,

This has been one of the best weeks of my life because I always wanted to go on a trip like this. This trip inspired me to go on every trip that I could go on. This trip changed my life: it made me think about my life and what I was missing in the city and it also made me realize how being in nature is a change from everything I do.

I have to get used to everything I did before, like eating, getting and drinking water and even going to the bathroom and bathing. I realized how easy and convenient we have it. Being in nature is just so beautful and it is just the simple things like seeing stars. What would you look at if [Yosemite] was a mall instead of moutains and trees?

WildLink is a proud partner of the National Park Service, National Forest Service, and Nature Bridge.
